As of September 2011, substantial time has passed since the journey of HEDDA began, and though it may have appeared that things were moving slowly, the band has never stopped moving forward. The band has continued to rehearse and record. In fact, a HEDDA song, “See The Light”, was selected to represent ProgPower USA as the first track on the ProgPower USA XII compilation CD. Being chosen to kickoff the 2011 PP compilation is a huge compliment and honor for the band. (Ordering details to follow.) Since the inception of the band, HEDDA has gone through many, many changes. Some of these changes were very positive, including moving to a different studio and utilizing new engineers. The music of HEDDA has taken an immeasurable step forward. Some changes have tested the character of the band and its members; many life altering events have occurred during this time. The band has lost family members, sustained perforated eardrums, broken bones and most recently, one member had a near death experience. Considering the adversity that HEDDA has faced, it is amazing that the band exists at all, but it’s perhaps even more extraordinary that the original 4 members have remained a band and they continue to be the very best of friends.
